Welcome back to our blog :)
After a few challenging and not so simple weeks in which we had a hard time finding a solution to our problem, we decided to stop everything and go back to the process for a moment from the beginning. Over the past three weeks, we decided to make more interviews with several women who experienced postpartum depression. We talked with a farm clinic and several experts in the field, re-read the interviews we conducted at the beginning and began a secondary brainstorming process.
From all of this, we understood that while the night is indeed a major difficulty for those women, we realized that there is a major problem in creating an app that is designed for night hours only. There are several reasons for this, but the main ones are first, the fact that we do not want to produce a situation where we "wake" those women and encourage them not to sleep, on the contrary, we want them to be able to go back to sleep easily after breastfeeding. Another reason is the fact that most of them breastfeed almost through sleeping and have no time or willpower to use their cell phones at night.
Therefore, we decided to change our focus on loneliness at night. We realized that the most important thing to those women was someone who would be there for them, someone they knew could help in a moment of crisis, difficulty, or distress, and even sometimes when they just had a good day and wanted to share. We realized that the need for community and a supportive environment is most significant. Those women need immediate help that can be resolved even in a short encouraging phone call.
as a result, we offer an app that connects postpartum women who experience feelings of depression and a circle of volunteers who have been specially trained by professionals, to alleviate the loneliness of mothers and improve their mood through phone calls, hot meals, chats, and more.
In addition, at this point, we created an initial home screen. Because we have 2 types of customers. one type is the same woman who experiences a sense of loneliness, and the type is the volunteers.
Here's a small, initial look at our home screens:

Next week we are going to present a mid-presentation and show for the first time the whole process we went through from start to finish, we are excited and looking forward to presenting our idea to everyone.
Thank you so much.
