Week 16- Mom2Mom Clicks

Updated: Jun 6, 2022

This week we focused on user testing as much as possible.

Our goal was to hear the users' feedback on our new colors and logo. We also tried to focus on how to connect the "Hava Clinic" to the app.

User tests revealed interesting points:

  • Many interviewees said they did not have a "my profile" on which to tell the volunteers to whom they were talking.

  • In terms of the color palette chosen, this is the first time we have released such screens for testing, and the responses have been mixed.

  • According to 2 respondents, the color combination is very pleasant and correct and conveys harmony, calm, and peace. In contrast, 2 respondents did not like the colors and said that it was from a lesser provider and that the colors did not correspond to them well with a relaxed feeling.

  • It is still apparent that the relationship with the Hava clinic is not sufficiently lady expression, they didn't understand who these volunteers were, from where they came, what their background was - whether they had training or not. For this issue, our idea is when registering for the app, users will see the context and the collaboration with "Hava Clinic".

In addition, this week we contacted Dr. Mia Sheffer again, who recommended that we can speak to Mom2Mom Association, which supports postpartum women through home visits and provides emotional support to mothers in the first year after birth.

We contacted the director of the Rishon Lezion headquarters, who is forwarding the PDF we prepared for them to the management meeting.

Following the meeting, they will decide on the cooperation between us - and we very much hope that they will arrange a zoom meeting with us soon.

This week we made our app work, We decided to start it all from scratch and change the way our architecture is designed. It added a few more hours, but in the end, it was worth it :) We now have a working app with almost an exact replica of the Figma planning made by our great Communication teammates.

Here is a video, demonstrating what we have done so far:

This week Reshef and Hadar kept finalizing the chat, for some reason the app kept crashing on the user side which sends out the messages. We also installed the app on a new phone which we got from the faculty at MiLab. They found that the app kept crashing due to the fact that the emulator of Android doesn't have google play and so some of the chats that the feature relies on did not work. Thankfully, we found a post online that helped us solve this issue.
